This can improve employment rates and raise living standards for residents. Secondly, rapid population growth often attracts more investment in infrastructure, including public transportation systems, schools, and hospitals, which can directly benefit the population. For instance, larger cities may develop new housing complexes, shopping malls, and recreational facilities to accommodate the growing number of people, enhancing the overall quality of life.

On the other hand, critics argue that rapid population growth in cities creates significant challenges and disadvantages. One of the most pressing issues is overcrowding, contributing to higher costs of living, particularly in terms of housing. As more people move to cities, demand for housing increases, resulting in rising property prices and rents, making it difficult for lower-income individuals and families to afford adequate living spaces. Additionally, the strain on infrastructure becomes more evident, with traffic congestion, pollution, and insufficient public services negatively affecting residents’ daily lives.
